Get to Know Us
We are a collective of volunteers with extensive experience over decades of rescuing and caring for cats of all ages. We are a foster-based not-for-profit rescue operating east and west of Ottawa with a main intake and monitoring catteries just outside of Perth and Casselman.

Biscuits and Purrs fits within network of rescues and shelters in the region, all broadly with the goal of rescuing cats that are no longer wanted, are neglected, abandoned, abused, homeless, or whose lives are at-risk, and bringing them to a safe place. Once in care, our cats receive health checks from a vet and are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites/worms, and microchipped. Once we know that they are healthy and socially ready to go to their forever homes, our kittens and cats are made available for adoption.
We care for cats of all ages from pregnant cats and neonatals to seniors requiring palliative care. Our priority is cats in high-risk situations – living on the streets, living in unhealthy crowded conditions, been abandoned, or their lives are directly in danger. We love them all and believe that every one of them deserves a caring and loving home.
