Andarna came into our care from a colony near Westport, where she had learned that humans were mostly just the people who brought food. Since she’s been with us, she has been learning that people are safe. After some watchful hesitation, Andarna started offering tiny finger boops, licking Churu from a hand, and eventually accepting ear scratches. Now she is happily exploring and enjoying herself.
Andarna seeks the company of other cats, and so we think will do best in a home with another friendly and confident cat. She loves head scritches and belly rubs! She’s curious, affectionate, and brave. Still hesitant when her environment changes, Andarna benefits greatly from the confidence provided by a kind voice and gentle hand. As her confidence continues to grow, and with reciprocated patience and love, Andarna is sure to be a highly personable and loyal companion.
