🐾 Bessie’s Big Step! 06 OT 2025🐾
Bessie took a big step this week — she’s now comfortable eating from her safe spot while we’re still in the room with her! She keeps one eye on us at all times, but it’s wonderful progress for this shy girl.
She’s also started venturing out of her carrier briefly when we’re around, though she still prefers to retreat to a cozy hiding spot afterward. When we offer our hand, she’ll give it a quick sniff — a small but meaningful sign of trust. She’s not quite ready for pets yet, but she’s learning that people can be gentle and kind.
Bessie comes from the Lancaster colony and is slowly settling into her foster home. We’ll check back in soon to share how she continues to blossom. 💛
