Meet Dumpling 🥟💖 Tiny Cat, Enormous Heart
When Dumpling arrived in foster care, she was in heartbreaking condition.
This sweet petite 3-year-old girl had been scheduled for euthanasia before BPCR stepped in to give her a second chance. Thanks to a team of dedicated volunteers, Dumpling made her way to safety and from the moment she arrived, she showed everyone just how special she is.
Though she was severely under nourished and was battling an upper respiratory infection, Dumpling never stopped being kind. Even when she was too weak to do much more than rest, she still found the energy to rub against her foster family’s legs, make biscuits, receive pets, and purr. It would have been understandable for her to be frightened or withdrawn after everything she had been through, but instead she chose love. She does not mind getting her nails clipped and took her medicine and eye drops like a champ! She is slowly healing, gaining more weight and having more energy and we could not be more proud of the progress she is making!
As her strength returns, so does her playful side. Dumpling has started exploring her foster room, hopping onto chairs and dressers, investigating her surroundings, and rediscovering the joys of being a cat. It has been a privilege to watch her transform from a fragile little girl into a cat who is beginning to embrace life again.
One thing that has never changed is her affectionate nature. Dumpling absolutely melts for ear scratches and chin rubs. A gentle touch is often rewarded with loud purrs, happy biscuits, and her adorable little meow. She loves being close to her people and has a way of making everyone around her fall in love.
Despite everything she has endured, Dumpling remains sweet, gentle, and trusting. Her resilience is remarkable, but even more remarkable is her capacity for love.
Now that she is safe, healing, and looking toward the future, Dumpling is ready for the happy ending she has always deserved, a home where she will be cherished, spoiled, and never have to wonder where her next meal or kind word will come from.
