Fredo is a big, handsome boy with a sweet personality that is slowly beginning to shine through. When he first arrived, Fredo was very scared and had little trust in people. He came to us as a feral kitty, and his journey toward becoming a confident companion has been a gradual one.
After a few months in care, Fredo has made some wonderful progress. His foster family has only recently been able to start petting him, and every little bit of trust he offers is a very special milestone. 🤗
Fredo still feels safest in his kennel, even though the door is always open for him to explore when he feels ready. He is still learning that people can be trusted, so his foster family is taking things slowly and letting him set the pace. Every once in a while, he may still give a little warning paw when he feels unsure but those moments are becoming part of a bigger story of progress.
Underneath his cautious exterior is a sweet boy who is beginning to discover that he enjoys affection and companionship. ❤️
Fredo will need a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to give him the time, space and consistency he needs to continue building confidence. He may not be the type of kitty who runs up to greet you right away, but watching a shy cat like Fredo learn to trust and seeing his personality blossom is incredibly rewarding.
