Greta is a little girl who has already proven that sometimes a cat’s story isn’t quite what it seems. 💕🐾

Greta was living in a barn alongside other cats when she was rounded up as a feral cat to be trapped, neutered, and released. But it didn’t take long to discover that this little girl wasn’t quite the feral kitty everyone thought she was. 🥹💕

Instead, Greta made it known that she loves to be indoors. She has been showing us that underneath her cautious exterior is a sweet girl who loves her people and is becoming braver and braver every day.

These days, Greta comes running to greet her foster family as soon as she hears the screen door to her room slide open. And once she arrives, she’s all about the face rubs and scratches! If you let her, she’ll happily rub her face right against yours. 🥰 And when she’s feeling comfortable, she will reward you with some of the sweetest little purrs. She has also discovered that the lazy-boy chair in her room is a pretty wonderful place to be. She loves sitting there with her people and has decided it’s also one of her favourite spots to relax even when they aren’t around.

Greta is gaining confidence, she doesn’t hide when she’s overwhelmed; instead, she simply heads somewhere she feels safe. She has met most of the other foster cats and the resident dog living with her with no issues, especially when she has an easy escape route. Her comfort zone is continuing to grow, and she has even surprised her foster family by coming up for cuddles on the bed during the night while other pets are in the room. 💗

Greta is a gentle girl with absolutely no aggression toward people or other animals. She is much more likely to take flight than fight. She does have some boundaries, though, she currently doesn’t enjoy being picked up and may give a little nibble if she’s touched in an area she doesn’t like. Because of this, we feel Greta would be happiest in a quiet, patient home without young children, where her boundaries can be respected.

Greta has come such a long way from the little barn kitty who was once mistaken for a feral. She’s discovering that people can mean love, safety, cuddles, and the occasional very satisfying face scratch. 🥹💕

Could Greta be your purrfect match? ✨🐱
