Hi, my name is Jet and I came to Biscuits and Purrs Cat Rescue through a TNR effort near Westport, where a group of cats like me were found living dangerously close to a highway. While most of the cats in my group weren’t social with the humans, it quickly became clear that I was very different. I’m shy and a bit lacking in confidence, but there isn’t a mean bone in my body—and I’d love to tell you more about myself. ⬇️
I have a medium-length coat and absolutely adore brushing. I lean right into the brush and try to help—brushing is basically an interactive sport to me. 🤭🪮
I’m medium-sized but solid, with thick paws, sturdy legs, a plush tail, big handsome cheeks, and golden eyes. I do like to start out in a safe spot, but if you sit near me, I’ll come over, purring and drooling, nudging you for more affection. I can be picked up, and I love burrowing into your neck for extra snuggles.
I use my litter box perfectly, I’m not a picky eater, and I enjoy my kibble with the occasional wet food treat. I’m neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Even though I didn’t grow up in a cozy home, I’m clearly used to people and truly love affection. In my foster home, I’ve already bonded with another cat and a dog—I aced introductions and was rubbing up against them within 24 hours.
I’d do best with someone who understands shy cats and can offer gentle, consistent affection to help build my confidence (which honestly won’t take long-please ask my foster mom to send you the video of me rolling around on my back on day 3 asking for belly rubs). In just a few days here, I’m already exploring the house, seeking out my foster family, and hanging out in the living room. Beneath my shy exterior, I’m incredibly loyal, loving, and ready to be someone’s lifelong companion.
