Kevin and Rickey have been in foster care with Biscuits & Purrs for a little while now, and it has been such a joy watching their personalities unfold at their own pace. These two sweet boys truly lean on each other — their bond brings them comfort, courage, and companionship.
Rickey is the quieter soul of the pair. He’s still quite shy and cautious, taking his time to build trust in his surroundings and with his humans. But every bit of progress is heart-melting — like the moments during wet food time when he’s so happy he forgets to be shy and allows a few gentle pets. He adores his wet food and it has become a special bonding moment each day. With patience and kindness, Rickey is slowly finding his confidence.
Kevin has blossomed into a loving, affectionate boy. He enjoys being brushed, purrs loudly when he’s getting attention, and has learned that humans can be wonderful companions. He’s even developed a sweet little morning routine — if his foster mom dares to sleep in, he will come to politely meow and remind her that breakfast is very important business!
Both boys can still be startled by sudden movements, so a calm and understanding home will help them continue to grow. Watching Kevin’s confidence inspire Rickey has been incredibly heartwarming — they truly bring out the best in each other.
Both boys are FIV positive and may need special care as they grow old… but who doesn’t? They are a special pair who deserve a patient, loving family ready to continue showing them that the world is safe and full of gentle love. With time and kindness, these boys will reward you with trust, affection, and the joy of seeing them continue to bloom.
