Luna is a beauty with a stunning long coat of grey and white, a magnificent fluffy tail, and eyes as captivating as the moon on a clear night. ✨
Luna came into care following an owner surrender during a difficult change in her home. When she first arrived, she was deeply frightened and wanted nothing to do with people. She needed her own space and made it very clear that she wasn’t ready to trust anyone. But over the past few months, Luna has made meaningful progress, slowly learning that her foster home is a safe place to be.
Building trust with Luna has been a journey of patience, consistency, and respecting her boundaries. The hissing, growling, and swatting that were once common have decreased significantly, and she now welcomes her foster into her space to bring food, water, and her favourite treats. She still may swipe if startled by a sudden movement or loud noise, but she generally keeps her claws tucked away. She remains sensitive to unexpected changes and needs someone who understands that trust takes time. 💕
Luna isn’t your typical lap cat, and she may never be the kind of kitty who wants to be held or cuddled for hours. Instead, she has her own special ways of showing affection. She may rub against your legs, perch on the back of your chair to play with your hair, or rest her head against yours. She enjoys being petted in small doses, and when she’s comfortable, she can be surprisingly accepting of a hug or a kiss. With Luna, affection is always on her terms and that makes each little moment of connection feel special. 🥹
She still treasures her alone time and loves having a cozy, private space where she can sleep and relax. Recently, she’s even begun showing an interest in play! The red dot of a laser pointer has caught her attention, giving us another lovely glimpse of her curious side. She also enjoys watching the outdoor squirrels and birds, sometimes swishing her tail and making little sounds as she watches them. Those bird-watching sessions are clearly serious business! 🐿️🐦
Luna is a wonderful eater, has excellent litter-box habits, and keeps her beautiful coat well-groomed. She is not demanding or overly vocal, and she coexists with the resident senior cat, Chloe, without any serious conflict, although they aren’t friends.

Luna needs a calm, quiet, and patient home with someone who will let her set the pace. She may be shy around strangers and will likely retreat to a safe hiding spot when visitors arrive. She would benefit from having a dedicated space of her own, predictable routines, and a person who understands that love doesn’t always look like cuddles.
Her future family will need to respect her boundaries, avoid sudden movements, and celebrate the little milestones rather than expect her to become a completely different cat. Luna may never be a lap cat, but she has shown that she can learn to trust, share her space, and offer affection in her own unique way. ❤️
