Mable Update 🐾
Mable had her very first “I’m brave enough to stay out while you’re here” moment 💛
This is the same girl who once reacted out of fear and would bite when she felt overwhelmed. Now, she’s come such a long way—leaning into gentle pets in her hidey hole and even taking treats from your hand without anxiety or nipping. She has now even started coming out of her hidey hole on her own to ask for affection multiple times.
We’re so proud of her. She has come such a long way!
For those who don’t know her story, Mable came to us after the devastating fire east of Ottawa. She is now safe in a loving foster home, where she’s been slowly learning that she doesn’t have to be afraid anymore.
She’s still a timid girl, but each day she softens just a little more. She’s begun to enjoy affection—sometimes even surprising herself 🤭
Mable continues to settle in, leaving behind the trauma she endured, and starting—at her own pace—to look toward a brighter, safer future.
