At just a year old, Mia was surrendered to our care when her senior owner could no longer care for her. Needing to take care of her own health challenges, Mia’s previous owner sought a better home for the cat in her care. When Mia first arrived at her foster home, she had a challenging time adjusting to the change but slowly and surely she has embraced her new life. Her foster mom now calls her a “cuddle bug” and she is a lap cat too. When her foster mom was down with a flu, Mia followed her around from room and room, just like a loyal puppy. In fact, she is very dog like, preferring a home with one-on-one care; just Mia and her devoted human!
Mia is:
She’s looking for a patient, cat-savvy adopter who understands that Mia will need time to adjust to a new home. She will give off the impression that she is totally miffed and unimpressed. But with time, reassurance, and kindness, Mia will blossom into your most loyal and loving companion.
We have hundreds of stories we could share about cats in foster care who were sad, depressed or even ornery who become absolutely the sweetest most loved and adored cat you could ever imagine once they realized they were safe, secure and in their “forever” home.
Let’s give Mia the beautiful new beginning that she deserves.
