Meet Mona🖤

Mona is a resilient and quietly affectionate girl who has been part of a caring neighborhood community for the past three years. Believed to be around that age herself, she has spent most of her life living independently outdoors, but always nearby, sharing space with the people around her in her own gentle, self-assured way.

She is not the type to demand attention, but when she chooses you, it feels special. Mona shows her affection through soft leg rubs and by flopping down for the occasional belly scratch. She is selective and observant, but never aggressive. She simply prefers a respectful relationship where her boundaries are understood.

A devoted and experienced mother, Mona has raised multiple litters of kittens in all seasons, keeping them healthy, social, and well cared for. Her nurturing instincts and protective nature speak to her strength and gentle heart.

While she has not had much experience with indoor life yet, she has shown that she can tolerate handling when necessary and adapts calmly when she feels safe. She is not particularly interested in toys at the moment, which might be due to her caring mostly for her kittens and playing with them, she may come to appreciate simple comforts like a cozy space and a scratching post.

Mona would likely thrive in a quieter home with patient adopters who will give her the time and space she needs to adjust. Because her past experiences with children and dogs are unknown, a calm, adult household (or one with older, respectful children) would be ideal. She has interacted with female cats in the past without issue. 

She does have her preferences, this lovely lady enjoys her meals! Her favorites include Purina kibble and Fancy Feast pâté (beef only, please), and if you happen to shake a container of chicken-flavored Temptations treats, you’ll quickly earn her attention (from a dignified distance, of course).

With her sleek, shiny black coat and thoughtful personality, Mona is a truly special companion waiting for the right home, one that will appreciate her independence, her quiet affection, and the loving spirit she’s carried through her life so far.
