Netta is a beautiful tabico who lost her home to a fire – she was a socialized barn cat with no warm safe place to go. When she first came into care she was frightened, only coming out to eat when she thought she was alone. She has come such a long way. Netta is building her confidence with people. She might watch from her cave bed to assess the situation, but then come out for a big stretch and to wrap herself through your legs before flopping down to watch what you’re doing. Netta has come to love head and tail end scritches, but is still a ways off of being picked up. She’ll lay on the sofa beside you, showing no interest in climbing into your lap. Netta is a gentle, sweet girl who is learning to love the people who care for her as her trust of humans builds. She gets along well with other cats, and in fact, models her own behaviours on the confidence she sees in them.
