River was surrendered to our care after being diagnosed with FIP. He previous owner(s) were unable to provide care and so we took him into our rescue.  We provided treatment and he has made a full recovery with his latest round of bloodwork showing he is FIP free.  River is a 10-month-old brown tabby with the sweetest most adorable nature. This charming young cat is now enjoying life and discovering just how fun it can be to play, explore, and relax in a loving home.

River does have a few lingering neurological quirks, which may be a consequence of his FIP. He has a slight head tilt, can startle easily at times, and may occasionally circle when he moves around. These traits may improve as he continues to grow and gain confidence, but they may also simply be part of his unique personality.  We take all cats as they come. Just like humans; uniqueness makes each one of us extra special.

What truly stands out about River is how incredibly loving he is. He’s a gentle, affectionate boy who quickly wins people over with his kind spirit. He enjoys chasing a ball, batting around and chewing on his favourite stuffed mouse, and then settling onto a cozy window perch to watch the world go by.

River is a curious, good-natured little guy who has come a long way and is ready for a patient, caring home where he can continue to thrive. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and ready to begin his next chapter.
