Meet Tom đź–¤
Tom is a handsome black cat with a quiet spirit and a story shaped by resilience. Once a scrappy tomcat surviving life on the streets, Tom has officially left those hard days behind. Now safe, neutered, and recovering beautifully, he is beginning a brand-new chapter centered on comfort, healing, and learning to trust.
When Tom first arrived into his foster home, he was understandably cautious and preferred to keep to himself. But with patience, gentle routines, and plenty of Churu treats, he has slowly started to show his softer side. Every day brings small but meaningful progress, and it has been incredibly rewarding to watch his confidence grow.
Tom still values his personal space, but he is now choosing to stay close to his people in his own quiet way. He often sits nearby, curls up beside his foster parent at night, and has recently started venturing out to explore more of his foster home, little by little. Whether he is checking out new windows for birdwatching opportunities or relaxing with some “mouse TV”, his curious personality is becoming more visible every day.
One thing Tom has made very clear: he loves food. This tiny little guy has a great appetite and happily eats both wet and dry food. Churus remain his absolute favorite and are currently the fastest way to win his heart! He will gladly come close and even eat treats directly from your hand.
Tom has also been making wonderful progress socially with the other animals in the home. While he is still cautious around people, he seems much more comfortable around other cats and has been gradually introduced to the resident cats with positive results. He has also shown that he is unbothered by his foster parent’s dog as long as she respects his space. With slow, thoughtful introductions, Tom could do very well in a home with other calm cats or respectful dogs.
Tom is still learning that humans can be kind, safe, and consistent. He will need a patient adopter willing to let him move at his own pace and celebrate the quiet victories along the way. In return, you will get the privilege of watching a gentle soul continue to blossom.
His journey is only just beginning, but one thing is already certain: Tom’s best days are ahead of him. 🖤
